Micro-needling

Micro-needling treatment, also known as collagen induction therapy, is the process of using tiny needles to penetrate specific areas of the skin to stimulate the skin's natural ability to produce collagen and elastin which helps the skin look and feel younger and healthier.  Another benefit is that it increases the delivery of ingredients and nutrients to the deeper levels of the skin where it is needed most.  This is a minimally invasive therapy that is relatively painless and only takes about 20 minutes.

Micro-needling can help to:

  •          Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  •          Reduce acne scars
  •          Reduce hyper-pigmentation
  •          Reduce scars
  •          Improve skin texture
  •          Repair and plump the skin
  •          Minimize stretch marks
  •          Even out skin tone and helps to repair sun damaged skin
  •          Increase the delivery of ingredients/nutrients used on skin

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been using acupuncture needling for thousands of years to treat skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture and other signs of aging.  Acupuncture needle insertion also stimulates collagen production.  Treatments today still utilize this procedure in cosmetic acupuncture and scar treatments since it has been so effective at stimulating and correcting collagen production through the years.  But now, with modern technology, micro-needles are now available that are extremely small and grouped together in a small device that can cover a much larger area without individual needle insertions, which makes it easier, faster, and more painless than ever to naturally increase your collagen levels and have smoother, younger looking skin.
